Wisconsin Badgers Head Coach Greg Gard and his staff have made the recruiting of Davion Hannah of Nicolet High School a priority.

At 6’5″, the class of 2026 shooting guard is long and athletic, a prototypical high-major Division 1 athlete.

He is a 4-star, top-50 recruit across the board, ranking between 20 and 43 nationally on the four recruiting websites.

About the Badgers, he’s said to the press “I love them. I really like what they’re doing over there.” And he’s called Wisconsin assistant coach Sharif Chambliss “one of my father figures.”

But Wisconsin has plenty of competition for the young man. Michigan State Head Coach Tom Izzo, who offered Hannah in September, was in the gym at Nicolet in Glendale on Thursday night to watch Hannah and his teammates squeak past Mequon Homestead on a last minute bucket.

He also has offers from Bruce Pearl at Auburn, Iowa, Illinois, Oregon and Marquette.

Against Mequon Homestead, Hannah finished with 14 points on 7-21 shooting. He pulled down 15 rebounds and turned it over four times.
